Race
Human
Physical description
Humans vary greatly in appearance, though most stand between five and six and a half feet tall. Their hair and eyes occupy a narrower range than those of some Haelrahv peoples, while their complexions encompass many tones. Humans are broadly adaptable rather than defined by a single physical specialty.
Society and other peoples
The divisions that troubled humanity on Earth have diminished on Haelrahv. A sense of shared circumstance tends to outweigh old racial, religious, and cultural boundaries, even as influences from many Earth cultures remain visible in modern Human society.
Humans generally live peacefully beside the planet's other peoples. Their conviction that they brought essential technology and culture to Haelrahv can nevertheless cause friction, particularly with the Eolai, who hold their own sense of responsibility for the world. Humans also retain a persistent cultural wariness of the Darju.
The world and belief
Humanity remembers, however imperfectly, the environmental lessons of Earth. Humans have transformed Haelrahv through technology, education, commerce, and government, while the planet's native cultures frequently press them toward less wasteful choices.
Many Human faiths have blended over generations as memories of Earth recede. Diverse traditions remain, but the boundaries between their denominations are less rigid than those known by their ancestors.
