Physical description

Jaddan are a massive people, ranging from seven to ten feet tall. Their chiseled features include a hard plate over the bridge of the nose. Skin may be brown, grey, black, bronze, or shades of green, and their eyes occur in nearly any color. Their thick skin gives them a natural resilience.

Society and other peoples

Courtesy and ceremony shape Jaddan greetings. Respect may be marked by kneeling for a blessing, followed by an embrace that recognizes friendship. Wealth, age, and long-held tradition influence social standing, but once formally introduced, Jaddan generally treat one another with warmth.

Outsiders sometimes mistake Jaddan size and directness for a lack of thought. Their patience, kindness, and habitual politeness more accurately define most encounters, and Jaddan are well known for helping those in need.

The world and belief

Jaddan cherish natural beauty and the arts. Even those who do not consider themselves creators often become enthusiastic patrons and careful observers of the work of others.

Their traditions honor the Great Mother and the moons. The great moon Jadda is associated with creation and benevolence, while crimson Ilav represents destructive or corrupting forces. Jaddan practice is tolerant of other faiths and expressed through many kinds of shrines and temples.
